Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of oral lesions and soft and hard tissue mucosa, including vascular lesions, oral cancers, white, red and pigmented lesions, as well as detection and treatment of temporomandibular joint problems, jaw cysts and tumors, and maxillofacial pain are addressed in the specialty of oral and maxillofacial diseases. Thanks to having passing many courses in hospitals including hematology, oncology, nephrology, the respiratory system, dermatology, cardiovascular disease, etc., the specialists of oral and maxillofacial diseases are expected to be completely familiar with the systemic diseases and etiology of these patients, and to perform dental treatment for systemic patients.

1) Improving the scientific, research and treatment levels to the standard in the field of education, research and production of scientific content and knowledge transfer;

2) Improving the scientific level of faculty members in this field and preparing the device for oral diseases due to increased awareness of laser application in dental treatments especially in oral and maxillofacial diseases; and

3) Dental treatments for systemic disease patients in the ward or under anesthesia in the operating room.
