Periodontitis is the basis of dental treatments so that considerations related to this field are one of the most important points for the success of future treatments.

The minimum skills expected from the graduates include proper dealing with the patient, taking appropriate medical history information and examination of all the conditions and history, making accurate diagnosis and designing proper treatment plan, appropriate treatment according to the individual skills; proper and early referral of the patient; and improvement of health through strengthening control methods and regular treatment follow-ups.

Empowering students to make correct diagnosis and design an appropriate treatment plan, Improving the periodontal health of the community, Improving students’ skills in performing periodontal treatments appropriately and Improving students’ awareness of the importance of periodontal treatments and regular follow-ups.

1) Research in periodontology;

2) Joint research projects with other departments of the School, and the effects of periodontal treatments on other treatments; and

3) Better and easier access to articles and updated information in the field of periodontology.
