History:

Endodontics, the branch of dentistry concerning dental pulp and tissues surrounding the roots of a tooth, addresses the prevention, diagnosis and early treatment of pulp and periapical diseases.

Perspective:

We seek to be the hub of this branch in the region by training knowledgeable and capable professionals for prevention, treatment and production of endodontic science to substantially reduce the number of extracted teeth caused by endodontic disease in the next few years.

Vision:

Training in root canal treatment based on international standards and in accordance with the national requirements; and Providing the best prevention and treatment services to the people and training professionals that will be able to teach in dental schools and to expand research and knowledge in this branch.

Research priorities:

1) Accurate understanding of current problems;

2) Designing hypotheses to solve problems;

3) Submitting a research project proposal and conducting research; and

4) Arriving at correct conclusions and providing practical solutions to solve problems.
